Turkey Ranks Second For Maximum Global Crypto-Related Search
  • The Netherlands and Turkey ranked highest for searching the most crypto-related terms online.
  • Turkey witnessed 4.7 million crypto-related searches in the country.
  • Dogecoin was the most searched digital asset in Turkey.

According to a study released by the cryptocurrency research and education platform, CryptoManiaks, Turkey has ranked second for the highest number of crypto-related searches in the world.

While many countries record a higher-than-expected number for crypto-related searches, Netherlands and Turkey are the most curious countries when it comes to cryptocurrency resources. The Netherlands observed 8.2% of its total population search online for crypto information, while Turkey accounted for 5.5%.

To be precise, Turkey recorded a total of 4.7 million crypto-focused searches, out of which, 812,000 monthly searches were dedicated to the meme coin Dogecoin. DOGE’s search figures are double that of Ether’s and Ether is Turkey’s third-most searched coin.

A CryptoManiaks spokesperson stated,

Dogecoin’s popularity has surpassed that of Ethereum in a significant number of countries, with nearly 2 million more monthly searches worldwide for the coin.

While Dogecoin remains a consistently popular digital asset ever since its adoption as the poster crypto for the Twitter CEO Elon Musk, other coins included in the searches were Bitcoin, Solana, and BNB.

Moreover, Germany, Canada, and the Czech Republic were the next top three countries with the most crypto-related searches. Despite the United States of America and the United Kingdom being major players in the crypto market, neither of them ranked on the list, especially given the number of searches in comparison to their population sizes. With 1.9% of its population searching for crypto terms, the US ranked 15, while the UK captured position 12 with 2.6% of its population seeking for crypto information.
