- Charles Hoskinson did not threaten to sue a Cardano critic.
- The report linking Hoskinson to a potential lawsuit is fake.
- A delegated representative accused IOG of mismanaging Cardano funds.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has denied threatening legal action against a top community member amid an ongoing governance feud.
Hoskinson was responding to a publication by an online media outlet which claimed he had decided to sue a delegated representative (DRep) who had criticized his activities and those of Input Output Global (IOG).
Hoskinson labels lawsuit story “straight-up fake news”
In his latest post on X, Hoskinson described the publication as “straight-up fake news.” The Cardano founder expressed his disappointment about the development and insisted that he never threatened legal action against the representative.
Meanwhile, he did not retract his opinion about the critic’s actions and threat to reject all future proposals from IOG.
The cited media report noted that the delegated representative accused Hoskinson and IOG of wasting millions in ADA on undelivered promises.

Hoskinson’s actual response
Hoskinson had since responded to the IOG critic via X using a meme and telling his followers not to worry while assuring them that there is a plan. However, it is worth noting that Hoskinson’s response did not go down well with some community members, who considered it childish for him to reduce the allegation to a “joke” instead of coming up with a “serious” statement to address the issue.
According to a respondent, the delegated representative who accused Hoskinson and IOG of wasting funds demands more respect than Hoskinson showed in his post. Meanwhile, identifying the response as a “joke” contradicts the media outlet’s report that the Cardano founder decided to sue his critic, which could have been an extreme measure, as the case may be.
