Binance, the biggest cryptocurrency trading exchange in the world, has declared a partnership with Kazakhstan’s largest airline, Air Astana. The partnership facilitates airline customers to exchange their accumulated flight reward points for Binance’s dollar-backed stablecoin, Binance USD (BUSD).
The news of the joint endeavor was released by Air Astana in a press statement today. The company announced that users can “now enter the world of cryptocurrencies with its partnership with Binance.”
Formerly, On February 1, Binance announced the alliance with Air Astana which could benefit the users of the Air Astana Nomad Club passenger rewards program to convert accumulated flight rewards into cryptocurrencies on the Binance platform.
According to the official announcement, the partnership is a limited chance for Air Astana’s Nomad Club customers to retrieve points from February 1 to February 28, 2023. Air Astana highlighted the “limited opportunity” allowed for the customers to exchange Binance’s dollar-backed stablecoin, Binance USD (BUSD) for their flight rewards.
In addition, Binance also stated that the “traditional industry is ready to embrace the idea of using cryptocurrencies as an additional tool to interact with their customers through a loyalty program.”
Furthermore, the announcement also indicated that Air Astana’s Nomad Club customers could gain “up to 20 BUSD ” and withdraw in “fiat money”. As per the announcement, the customers could earn a “maximum of 1,000 convertible points”. Moreover, the exchange rate of the conversion offer is “1 Nomad Club bonus point to 0.01 BUSD.”
The announcement for partnership also stated that Air Astana’s Nomad Club customers should have an account with the crypto platform, Binance and register in the platform to utilize the exchange facilities and to confirm the conversion.
Moreover, the Air Astana customers who could utilize the offer would be rewarded with a “welcome bonus of 10 USD.” Binance stated that the joint collaboration with Air Astana would be an “easy entry into the world of cryptocurrencies.”
