Binance hosted its first major community meetup of 2024 in Kazakhstan on May 14, attracting over 700 attendees, according to a company announcement. The event, held at the Presidential Center in Astana, offered participants a chance to connect with fellow Web3 enthusiasts and learn about the latest developments in the decentralized web space.
In an earlier announcement, Binance drew the community’s attention to the event schedule. Inviting every member to the grand event, Binance wrote,
“We are pleased to announce another big event in Kazakhstan – Binance Super Meetup, which will take place on May 14, 2024 in Astana. We invite all our users from Kazakhstan to participate in the Binance Super Meetup, organized by the Binance team.”
According to the announcement, the event was scheduled at the Presidential Center (Grand Ballroom), 1A Alikhan Bokeikhanova Street, Astana, from 15:30 to 20:00, per the local time. The platform provided free entry to the event, and the participants were required to complete pre-registration and present a printed or electronic ticket.
The meetup capped off a period of positive news for Binance Kazakhstan. On May 13, the company announced it had secured the ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, demonstrating its commitment to robust information security and privacy management practices. The certifications were awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI) following a rigorous audit.
The British Standards Institution (BSI) awarded Binance Kazakhstan these globally recognized certificates following a meticulous audit. Vishal Sacheendran, Head of Regional Markets at Binance, acknowledged the achievement as a demonstration of the platform’s adherence to high standards of security and privacy, two features that he believes are characteristic of a trustworthy company.
“With over 700 attendees, it was a great opportunity for the community to connect,” a Binance spokesperson said in a statement. “We are committed to fostering a thriving Web3 ecosystem in Kazakhstan and across the globe.”
