In their official blog post, the HKPF sent a letter of appreciation to Binance, praising the company’s intelligence analysis, which played a key role in identifying suspects connected to a criminal syndicate involved in the kidnapping.

The letter specifically thanked Carlos Mak, a specialist from Binance’s investigation team, whose work was essential to the investigation’s success. The OCTB expressed gratitude for Binance’s support, highlighting the importance of teamwork between private companies and law enforcement to fight crime, especially those using new technologies.
