Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the top two cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, are trending and trading with gains today based on the numbers gathered from CoinMarketCap.
At press time, market leader Bitcoin trades at $24,560.45, with a 24-hour trading volume of about $13 billion. Bitcoin is also up by 7.37% over the past day. Looking at its numbers for the last seven days, the king of cryptocurrency is also in the green, rising by 7.5%.
Regarding price analysis, BTC price was range bound between $22,800 to $23,000 yesterday. However, the coin price started climbing by the hour and reached fresh highs. Also, BTC trades near its 24-hour high.
On the other hand, the top altcoin in the market, Ethereum, is also enjoying its current position in the green. According to the estimates by CoinMarketCap, ETH price is at $1,889.85, with a 24-hour trading volume of about $27 billion. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum sees an upward trend, up by 12.41%.
ETH’s trading activity was mostly quiet yesterday, but after BTC started climbing, the second cryptocurrency by market capitalization followed suit. ETH is also trading near its day’s high. Today, ETH recorded a price high of $1,908.20.
Meanwhile, the global crypto market capitalization went up by 7.1%, totaling more than $1.21 trillion in the last 24 hours. Also, the whole market recorded a daily trading volume of about $113 billion over the last day.
Due to this upward trend for the top cryptocurrencies, they’re both listed under CoinMarketCap’s trending cryptos. The two are followed by Flow (FLOW), Tornado Cash (TORN), and Polygon (MATIC).
