Global Leader Bridging Technology and Strategy
Ignacio Aguirre Franco joins Bitget with over 15 years of experience spanning technology, fintech, and blockchain. His background includes leadership roles at global firms such as Adobe and SAP, which shaped his product-focused approach to marketing.
Before this appointment, Franco held senior positions at Scorechain and Xapo Bank. In these roles, he worked on scaling blockchain products and improving user acquisition strategies.
His experience blends an engineer’s analytical mindset with a marketer’s ability to craft narratives that connect innovation with user value.
“I’ve always believed that technology should solve real-world problems and be accessible to everyone,” Franco said in a statement. “Bitget’s Universal Exchange vision brings that belief to life by making financial access simpler, smarter, and global.”
Driving Bitget’s Universal Exchange Vision
At Bitget, Franco will lead initiatives focused on uniting CeFi, DeFi, and TradFi through the Universal Exchange (UEX) model. The UEX ecosystem allows users to trade crypto, tokenized stocks, ETFs, and real-world assets within a single platform.

Franco’s early objectives include strengthening brand storytelling, simplifying product communication, and expanding user engagement. He will also oversee the promotion of Bitget’s key innovations, including:
- Onchain: Access to over two million tokens, designed to simplify decentralized finance.
- GetAgent: An AI-powered trading assistant capable of executing trades autonomously.
- Stock Perpetuals: 24/7 futures trading on a range of global equities.
Franco emphasized the importance of clarity in marketing complex technologies. “A product might attract users through visuals, but it’s the experience that keeps them coming back. I learned that marketing is not about showing what a product does; it’s about telling ‘why it matters’ by connecting innovation to purpose,” he said.
Executive Vision: A ‘True Universal Exchange’
Bitget Chief Executive Officer Gracy Chen said Franco’s appointment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to innovation and inclusivity. “Ignacio combines technical fluency with creative leadership. His approach aligns with our mission to make digital finance accessible to everyone,” Chen said.
Bitget, established in 2018, operates across more than 100 countries and offers both centralized trading and decentralized wallet services. The platform integrates interoperability across major blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.
