BlackRock Joins Ripple’s Swell 2025 Speaker Lineup in New York
  • Maxwell Stein of BlackRock is confirmed as a speaker at Ripple’s Swell 2025 in New York on November 4–5.
  • The agenda includes discussions on tokenized assets, stablecoins, payments, and regulation.
  • While BlackRock manages Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, it has yet to signal plans for an XRP product.

Ripple has confirmed that BlackRock will take part in its flagship Swell 2025 conference, with the firm’s Director of Digital Assets, Maxwell Stein, listed among the featured speakers. The event is scheduled for November 4–5 in New York City and will bring together a range of influential voices from finance and crypto. Alongside Stein, the stage will also feature Ripple’s co-founder Chris Larsen, CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Nasdaq Chair Adena Friedman, and OKX CIO Jason Lau.

Spotlight on BlackRock’s Crypto Position

Stein’s inclusion has sparked conversation within the XRP community, with many eager to hear BlackRock’s latest views on digital assets and whether an XRP-linked ETF could eventually be considered.

According to the program, Stein will appear in a session with Moody’s executive Rory Callagy to discuss how tokenized assets are changing capital markets. However, the agenda does not confirm if BlackRock will address the topic of an XRP ETF directly.

Currently, BlackRock manages crypto ETFs tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum but has not pursued a similar product for XRP. Some believe this cautious stance was tied to Ripple’s lengthy legal battle with the SEC, which ended last month.

Still, BlackRock has maintained that it does not plan to launch an XRP ETF for now, leaving open questions about whether the position may shift in the future.
