  • The partnership blends crypto with football’s legacy, trust, and global brand expansion.
  • Campaigns include lucky draw and trading contests with signed Argentina team merchandise.

BTCC, one of the oldest crypto exchanges, has announced a major partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA). Through this deal, BTCC will become a regional partner of Argentina’s national football team until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This move shows how crypto companies are increasingly entering sports partnerships to grow their global presence and reach new users.

BTCC and Argentina Team Partnership

The partnership brings together two institutions with long-standing reputations in their respective fields. Argentina’s national team, known as La Albiceleste, has a storied football history, with World Cup victories in 1978, 1986, and, most recently, in 2022 under the leadership of Lionel Messi.

Legendary figures such as Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta, Javier Zanetti, and Ángel Di María have helped cement the team’s global legacy.

On the other hand, BTCC, founded in 2011, has survived many crypto market cycles and built a reputation for stability and reliability. The exchange now serves over 11 million users in more than 100 countries, showing its global growth over the years.

Shared Values Driving the Collaboration

According to BTCC branding head Aaryn Ling, the partnership represents shared values like growth, ambition, and long-term success. AFA President Claudio Fabián Tapia also said BTCC’s user trust and long history were important reasons for the partnership.

To celebrate the partnership, BTCC launched a “Legendary Lucky Draw” running from April 2 to April 15, 2026, where users can win signed Argentina team jerseys and merchandise from players like Julián Álvarez and Alexis Mac Allister.

The company will also launch trading competitions with large prize pools and more signed merchandise rewards.

Crypto and Sports Partnerships Are Growing

This partnership shows a growing trend where crypto companies partner with major sports teams to build brand awareness and attract new users. By working with the Argentine Football Association ahead of the 2026 World Cup, BTCC is positioning itself for global expansion and increased visibility.
