Eminem and Crypto.com Pair Up for New Advertisement
  • Popular rapper Eminem has shot a promo for Crypto.com.
  • The ad will premiere during the Lakers-Nuggets playoff game at Crypto.com Arena.
  • Eminem’s post included “#FFTB,” which stands for “fortune favors the brave.”

Following the implosion of the digital asset trading platform FTX, promoting cryptocurrencies for lucrative deals became less popular. However, there seems to be a resurgence in crypto sponsorships, as popular rapper Eminem is now lending his voice to a commercial for Crypto.com.

In a post on X, the rapper shared the commercial featuring his narration over a video of a fighter preparing for a match. The ad, set to premiere during the Lakers-Nuggets playoff game at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, will also be shown during upcoming sporting events like the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and a UFC fight.

Eminem’s post included “#FFTB,” which stands for “fortune favors the brave,” the motto of the crypto exchange. Crypto.com has a track record of attracting A-list partnerships. Previously, actor Matt Damon appeared in a Crypto.com ad with the same slogan, even being the subject of an episode-long joke on the animated show South Park after FTX’s collapse in 2022.

The exchange has also collaborated with the Paris Saint-Germain soccer club and acquired the naming rights to the Staples Center, now known as the Crypto.com Arena, in a $700 million 20-year agreement.

Steven Kalifowitz, CMO of Crypto.com, stated, “Crypto.com has become one of the most recognized global brands by partnering with iconic people, places, and events,” adding that the latest commercial “reiterates our deep conviction for our industry and the community building it responsibly.”

While the partnership with Eminem has garnered attention, some users on X have expressed disapproval. One person tweeted, “L for promoting crypto again,” while another added, “Not selling out for crypto and the nfl. You don’t know how sick you make me.”
