- CoinMarketCap Launchpad (CMC Launch) is live for pre-TGE projects with 70M user reach.
- Aster DEX is the first listing, backed by YZi Labs and supports up to 1001x leverage.
- Users can earn Au points and qualify for AST token airdrops by trading or holding eligible assets.
On May 15, 2025, CoinMarketCap announced CMC Launch, a dedicated launchpad for crypto projects yet to reach their Token Generation Event (TGE). The feature is now live and accessible on the main platform.
CMC Launch gives selected teams visibility in front of over 70 million monthly users. These projects must pass platform checks and complete required tasks, including quests and wallet eligibility steps tied to airdrop access. All listed projects are still in the early stage and have not yet launched tokens.
The onboarding structure includes wallet filters and task completion to help identify users for future token distributions.
Aster DEX Listed First on CoinMarketCap Launchpad
The first project listed on CMC Launch is Aster DEX, a decentralized perpetual exchange that runs on both BNB Chain and Arbitrum. The project is backed by YZi Labs and has formed a PancakeSwap partnership.
Aster offers two trading modes. Simple Mode enables one-click leveraged trades up to 1001x, while Pro Mode targets experienced users with advanced tools. The exchange does not require Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks and supports non-custodial trading.
Users can earn Au points by interacting with Pro Mode or holding tokens like ALP, USDF, or approved LP tokens. These points contribute to future eligibility for AST token airdrops.
CMC Launchpad Includes Wallet Screening and Task Quests
CoinMarketCap Launchpad uses task-based onboarding to verify engagement. Quests are part of each project’s listing path, and wallet filtering helps track user eligibility for token events.
Only pre-TGE projects can apply. The aim is to allow exposure and growth before tokens become tradable. CoinMarketCap did not specify how many projects it plans to list next, but confirmed that all entries must meet its internal standards.
Rush, CEO of CoinMarketCap, explained that the launchpad connects early projects with active platform users. He stated:
“As the ‘Home Of Crypto,’ we’re thrilled to welcome Aster as our first CMC Launch project and introduce them to our global community.”
CoinMarketCap confirmed that CMC Launch will continue operating as a main feature. Only teams that complete the review process will qualify for listing.
