DMCC Joins Brinc; Members Can Access $150M Accelerator Fund

The Government of Dubai Authority for Commodities Trade and Enterprise (DMCC), has teamed with the international venture capital firm Brinc to give DMCC Crypto Centre members access to Brinc’s USD 150 million accelerator fund.

The collaboration will help the businesses at the DMCC Crypto Centre create a blockchain, and Web3 technology will flourish quickly and over the long term.

The collaboration was announced on Tuesday, and members now have access to Brinc’s global network of innovative companies and business mentoring services from their new office at DMCC, in addition to the extensive offerings of the DMCC Crypto Centre.

Brinc’s CEO and founder, Manav Gupta said:

The newly launched Dubai Metaverse Strategy aims to support over 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030; while Dubai’s plan to use cutting-edge technology to improve efficiency and sustainability vastly appeals to Brinc, whose mandate since inception has been to discover and enhance businesses that creatively solve global problems.

Additionally, the CEO added that the new collaboration with DMCC will reveal a new pool of Web3 entrepreneurs and enable Brinc to identify, empower, and invest in startups that shape the future based on a shared thesis and set of ideals.

Speaking of the partnership, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC Ahmed Bin Sulayem said that with so many global challenges co-occurring, major businesses focus on accessing state-of-the-art infrastructure within a comfortable working environment, “which is exactly what DMCC strives to provide.”

The DMCC Crypto Centre provides access to finance through international investors, the top local and worldwide industry talent, and a full range of crypto licences that improve the ease of business for its member companies.

In H1 2022, DMCC attracted 1,469 new member companies, shattering all prior records. Over 14% of these new company registrations were associated with crypto activities thanks to the cutting-edge environment offered at the Crypto Centre.
