- On September 28th, Dubai will host the first-ever regional metaverse event.

At an event that is the first of its kind, called the Dubai Metaverse Assembly, which is taking place this week in the Emirati city, the world’s foremost metaverse specialists will explore the road map in tapping future potential and meeting the hurdles in catapulting the sector to over $30 trillion in 15 years, a report says.
The event, which will take place on September 28 and 29, is being hosted by Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), and it is anticipated that more than 300 worldwide professionals and more than 40 companies specializing in the applications of the metaverse and virtual worlds would take part in it.
In addition, there will be around twenty-five other seminars, meetings, and workshops held over the course of the event. They will address a wide range of subjects, from the creation of solid and sustainable metaverse infrastructure to the development of robust and business-friendly legislation, as well as government service delivery in the virtual world.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Teleworking Applications, and deputy managing director of DFF, said:
The ‘Dubai Metaverse Assembly’ will serve as a global platform for the metaverse community from around the world to map out opportunities and harness the potential of this promising virtual world.
He went on to say that they would demonstrate the enormous potential of the immersive world to accelerate economic development, stimulate innovation, and build a fundamentally better future for mankind via the course of this inaugural event.
