- Can you please give a brief introduction about yourself, your interest in Web3, and the project?
I’m Joshua Kriger, Co-founder of Edge of Company, where we delve deep into the world of Web3. My journey into the space began with exploring advanced use cases for blockchain based on a background in consulting, e-commerce, and food tech. But I’ve always been drawn to innovative technology and its potential to shape the future. Edge of Company is dedicated to exploring the frontier of technology and culture, with a particular focus on the Web3 realm. It’s an exciting project where we’re pushing boundaries, fostering collaboration, and driving meaningful change in the Web3 space.
I have had a pretty great career. I’ve worked on big projects like setting up data visualization for federal agencies and a $60 million aviation support deal and so on. I even started a non-profit to help folks get jobs. Then I co-founded ‘Territory Foods’, which was focused on delivering healthy meals and proved to be a huge success. Then finally launched the ‘Edge of NFT’ podcast in 2021 with two partners, which became a hit in the Web3 space in a short period. We formed Edge of Company and also launched NFTLA, now called ‘Outer Edge LA’, to showcase leaders in Web 3, NFTs, AI, gaming and so much more. I love tackling complex projects and I’m super into the innovative world of Web3.
With Outer Edge, we’re all about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with tech and bringing together folks who are excited about shaping the future. Our events are epic gatherings where we geek out over the latest in Web3 and collaborate on ideas that challenge the ways we think about the future. It’s all about connecting and creating memories while making waves in the tech world.
- Congratulations on partnering with Animoca Brands, what does this partnership mean to Outer Edge?
Teaming up with Animoca Brands has been a game-changer for us. They’re one of the leading ecosystems in the Web3 scene, making waves worldwide by exploring the most advanced ways of bringing distributed technology to life in gaming and beyond. This partnership is all about amplifying our mission to explore the outer edges of what’s possible in tech and culture. Exciting times ahead!
- What made you initiate “Outer Edge Riyadh” and how friendly is Saudi Arabia with Web3?
Launching Outer Edge in Riyadh was a no-brainer for us. Saudi Arabia is buzzing with innovation, especially among its young, tech-savvy crowd. We saw this as a perfect opportunity to dive into the Web3 scene and showcase its potential in the region. Saudi Arabia is embracing Web3, and we’re excited to be part of it.
- What were the obstacles you faced when establishing Outer Edge Riyadh?
Setting up Outer Edge Riyadh definitely had its challenges. From sorting out logistics to navigating cultural nuances, it was a learning process. But with some serious determination and awesome collaborations, we managed to pull it off and bring the vision to life in Riyadh.
- Is there anything to look forward to following the Web3 innovation forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the last week of April?
Absolutely! You can look forward to the continued collaboration with the many leaders who attended, both from Saudi Arabia as well as globally. We’re anticipating even more buzz around Web3 tech in the region as well. Think development hubs, research initiatives, and tons more innovation, all aligning with Saudi’s Vision 2030 plan.
- What’s in store for the future of the Edge of Company?
Well, we’re all about expanding our reach and continuing to shake things up in the tech world. More events, more shows, more diverse topics, and definitely more collaborations. Our goal? To inspire millions with our edutainment approach and keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in tech and culture.
