- In the upcoming week, Polkadot will unlock $400 million worth of DOT for parachain auctions, while dYdX will introduce its V4 version.
A prominent crypto analyst named “The DeFi Investor” on the X (formerly Twitter) platform has released a crypto watchlist for the upcoming weeks. In his view, the list embodies tokens expected to make substantial gains in the coming weeks.
First on the list is Fantom (FTM), the filthy seventh-ranked crypto project in the market, according to CoinMarketCap. The spotlight for FTM is on the testnet for Sonic, a significant upgrade slated for launch on October 24. The crypto analyst noted the major development will boost Fantom’s throughput four times, potentially impacting the coin’s value.
The second on the list was Solana (SOL), a crypto project worth over $12 billion. According to the analyst, Solana has been steadily gaining momentum. In parallel, he mentioned that the Solana Breakpoint conference starts in less than ten days. The analyst claimed that the event could impact the value of the SOL token.
Moreover, Polkadot (DOT) was featured on the list. The analyst noted that $400 million worth of DOT tokens is set to be unlocked on October 24. According to him, these tokens are earmarked for parachain auction participants who committed their tokens approximately two years ago.
The native token of the dYdX decentralized exchange, DYDX, also appears on the trader’s crypto watchlist. He noted that the DEX team will be launching a fourth version of the dYdX protocol this month. Notably, the dYdX V4 will usher in a revenue-sharing mechanism.
Meanwhile, the analyst saw potential in BTC-related tokens, such as STX, BSV, and BITCOIN. According to him, “If/when BTC breaks the $30k resistance, these tokens will likely outperform it as they act like beta plays.”
The last token on the list was SCRT, which is associated with the Secret Network. It will unveil the new development roadmap on October 26.
