Meme coins, often viewed as humorous or speculative investments, have become increasingly popular. To expand their altcoin offerings, both Coinbase and Robinhood could soon be listing: Dogwifhat (WIF), Floki (FLOKI), Cats in a Dogs World (MEW), Bonkl (BONK), Book of Meme (BOME), Turbo (TURBO), Neiro CTO (NEIRO), and Degen (DEGEN).

Top Meme Coin Contenders

WIF is the top contender with a striking 41.81% price increase in just 24 hours, and trading at $4.19, at the time of press. This surge comes alongside an impressive 24-hour trading volume of over $3.9 billion, signaling strong investor interest. 

FLOKI, trading at $0.000233, has witnessed a significant 22.47% increase in the last 24 hours. Its trading volume exceeded $1.7 billion, further emphasizing the growing demand for meme coins on major exchanges.

Further, MEW, another meme coin, experienced a solid uptick of 19.71%, trading at  $0.010945 with a 24-hour trading volume of $523 million. Also, BONK gained 22.29%, trading at $0.000040 with a 24-hour volume surpassing $2.6 billion. These trends showcase a surge in the meme coins, and exchanges like Coinbase and Robinhood are keen to tap into its growing sector.

Other Potential Meme Coins to Watch

BOME, trading at $0.011656, has gained 30.73% in the past 24 hours, with a trading volume of $1.78 billion, suggesting it is a potential candidate for listing on prominent exchanges.  

Similarly, TURBO, at $0.009969, experienced a 23.15% increase, with a volume of $605 million, indicating a steady rise in its popularity. This implies that both TURBO and BOME have proven their market appeal, making them top contributors. 

Multiple blockchains are also seeing growth in meme coins. Neiro CTO (NEIRO) on the Ethereum network, trading at $0.095144, recorded a 14.11% increase, with a volume of $42 million, while $DEGEN, trading at $0.020916, witnessed a 22.28% surge. This cross-chain growth highlights the rise of meme coins beyond Solana and Ethereum-based projects.
