- Pi Network introduced Pi App Studio, a no-code tool to build apps using written instructions.
- Users can now stake Pi tokens to rank apps higher in the Pi Browser through Ecosystem Directory Staking.
- Technical updates include Mainnet migration for 500,000 users, new Node software, and extended .pi domain auction.
On June 28, 2025, Pi Network launched two ecosystem tools during its Pi2Day 2025 event. The updates include Pi App Studio and Ecosystem Directory Staking, both now live. The company shared the updates on its official X account, @PiCoreTeam.
Pi App Studio is an AI-powered, no-code platform that allows users to create apps using written instructions. Ecosystem Directory Staking is a utility that lets users stake Pi tokens to boost app rankings in the Pi Browser. These features expand the Pi Network ecosystem and offer additional blockchain tools for users and businesses.
Pi App Studio Lets Anyone Build Apps Without Code
Pi App Studio allows people to build apps without programming knowledge. Users can input text instructions, and the platform generates the app’s logic. The tool includes two features. First, users can build topic-specific AI chatbots. These bots deliver responses based on the creator’s input.
Second, the platform includes a beta version of an open-ended builder. It lets users describe what they want an app to do, and the backend creates it automatically. Pi Network stated:
“Creating apps through Pi App Studio therefore means that you are able to own and run a business and product built entirely around your knowledge and ideas.”
The tool works within the blockchain infrastructure of Pi Network. The team confirmed that beta access for the open-ended builder will roll out gradually. The Pi App Studio is now available inside the Pi Browser.
New Staking Feature Will Drive App Discovery
The second feature Ecosystem Directory Staking, gives users a way to promote apps by staking Pi tokens. This system replaces centralized ad models and ranks apps by the total Pi staked toward them.
Users can support apps they prefer. The more Pi staked, the higher the app appears in the directory. The Pi Network team said:
“This also seeks to provide greater exposure to apps that are of higher quality and provide for meaningful community engagement.”
The staking system is now active in the Pi Browser. It changes how users discover apps by linking visibility to Pi staking activity.
Technical and Mainnet Upgrades Also Arrive
Along with these two features, Pi Network released an updated version of its Node software. The company said this improves network operations and system performance.
Mainnet migration also saw changes. The new flow onboarded over 500,000 users. The update aims to simplify the process of moving to Mainnet for those still waiting to migrate.
These upgrades support the larger structure of the Pi Network and improve access for the wider user base.

The .pi domain name auction now runs through September 30, 2025. Users can continue registering names ending in .pi during this period. The extension allows more participation, though no pricing details were updated.
Pi Network also confirmed a fiat on-ramp aggregator integration. The tool helps users bring fiat currency into the ecosystem without holding other cryptocurrencies. This system improves participation for newcomers.
Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge Now Live
To engage users with the new tools, Pi Network launched the Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge. It offers digital rewards for using features inside the Pi mining app. Users can join through the app and complete assigned tasks.
The challenge is part of the Pi2Day 2025 program. It supports interaction with Pi App Studio, Ecosystem Directory Staking, and the updated browser tools.
