  • Funding supports developers, enterprises & XRPL innovation in these regions.
  • This furthers Ripple’s $500M commitment to grow the XRP Ledger in Asia.

Ripple is now accepting applications for its recently announced Japan and Korea Fund, inviting XRP Ledger (XRPL) community members in both countries to seek grants for innovative projects.

This update was shared on Ripple’s official website and by RippleX, its development arm, on X (formerly Twitter).

The fund welcomes applications from enterprises and developers, offering support for various initiatives, including corporate partnerships, startup investments, developer grants, and community growth.

Ripple established the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund in June as a dedicated initiative to accelerate innovation on the XRP blockchain in these rapidly evolving markets.

The Japan and Korea Fund represents a key component of Ripple’s broader commitment of 1 billion XRP (valued at $500 million) to foster innovation on the XRPL. This initiative provides comprehensive support to developers through the XRPL Grants and XRPL Accelerator programs, offering financial, technical, and business resources.

Ripple has pledged a significant allocation of the 1 billion XRP to support promising projects and opportunities in Japan and Korea over time.

Community figure Crypto Eri expressed her optimism about the future of XRP and its blockchain in Asia, stating her belief that the new initiative will uncover innovative use cases and disrupt traditional business models, paving the way for a new era of growth and adoption.

Ripple recognizes that Japan and Korea are already home to thriving XRPL communities, supported by strong institutional partnerships, progressive regulatory environments, and a growing number of innovative blockchain startups.

Recently, Wave 7 of the XRPL Grants program awarded funding to two Japan- and Korea-based projects, VWBL and Moai Finance, empowering them to further develop and scale their solutions on the XRP Ledger.
