- A DeFi researcher surveyed the crypto community on their recent activity on various blockchain networks.
- 42.8% of respondents reported using Ethereum transactions in the last seven days.
- However, Tron revealed that 66.7% of respondents had never used it.
In a recent tweet, DeFi researcher Ignas posed thought-provoking questions to the crypto community. He inquired about the last time crypto enthusiasts interacted with blockchains of Solana, Arbitrum, or Tron.
The Tron network boasts the highest number of active addresses based on available data. However, the DeFi researcher probed the community about their personal usage of Tron. He attempted to establish the claim around Tron having 1.08 million active users.
“Tron may have the highest number of active addresses, but have you personally used it?” Ignas remarked. Therefore, Ignas’s tweet contained a concise survey to gauge the activity on various blockchain networks.
The survey began by probing Ethereum activity: “When was your last Ethereum transaction?” Notably, on-chain activity includes blockchain transactions and token transfers involving centralized exchanges. At the time of writing, 42.8% of respondents reported using Ethereum transactions in the last seven days, while 14.1% had engaged within the past month.
Also, 28.6% indicated their last activity on Ethereum was over a month ago, and a fraction of users (14.4%) admitted to having never used it.
Shifting focus to Bitcoin, the survey revealed that 6.6% of participants had conducted transactions within the past week. 9.8% had done so within the past month. However, a significant portion (49.6%) indicated their last Bitcoin transaction was over a month ago, and 34% acknowledged never using it.
Similar patterns emerged when considering the BNB Chain. Approximately 17.9% of respondents had engaged in transactions over the past week, while 10.8% had done so within the past month. A notable segment (35.9%) had not transacted for more than a month, and an equal percentage (35.5%) reported never using it.
Meanwhile, Tron, an acclaimed leader in active addresses, revealed interesting statistics. Over the past seven days, 10.4% of participants reported Tron transactions, while 3.5% had done so within the past month. However, 19.4% admitted their last Tron transaction was over a month ago, and a significant majority (66.7%) indicated they had never used it.
Cardano showcased more active usage, with 35.4% reporting transactions within the past seven days and 4.2% within the past month. For 11.1%, the last transaction was over a month ago, and nearly half (49.3%) admitted never using it.
Also, Ignas’ survey encompassed other notable blockchain networks. It captured Solana, Polygon PoS, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Litecoin, and Arbitrum. Notably, a prominent Cardano supporter, ADA Whale, expressed appreciation for the poll. Meanwhile, he noted that existing biases and viewpoints can heavily influence such polls.
