  • 3D Digital Metaverse Assessment will help to improve government and private medical facilities.
  • MoHAP also launched a new medical thermal imaging technology for early diagnosis of diabetic inflammation.

During the Arab Health 2023, UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) launched two new services by deploying metaverse technologies. The services are meant to assess medical professionals, including doctors and allied practitioners.

As per the reports, one of the services is the “3D Digital Metaverse Assessment Service.” This service will incorporate the real, virtual, and digital worlds, to improve government and private medical facilities.

Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector, MoHAP, commented:

This service will also streamline procedures while maintaining data security through AI. It will be unique and has several key features, including transparency and secure remote assessment where AI will be used to ensure that personal data and medical certificates match during the assessment process.

The metaverse technology will reportedly keep a check on eye movements and facial expressions for a safety assessment. It will create a simulated realistic assessment hall for supervisors and examinees.

MoHAP also launched a new medical thermal imaging technology, which allows medical providers to use new innovations. The thermal imaging technology will  aid in detecting diabetic foot inflammation for early diagnosis and will also monitor surgical sites for infection risk.

Dr. Amiri also noted that virtual reality technology will play a key role in the future of the UAE in the next fifty years. This would hold true especially as advanced digital infrastructure will be in a better position to help attain the mission.

The overall crypto mood in UAE has been quite positive. In fact, UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi also declared at WEF annual summit that crypto would have a crucial role in UAE’s global trade.
