One of the leading platforms of the 2021 GameFi frenzy, Axie Infinity, has released a new product for the Web3 industry.

Axie Infinity has launched its first-ever land mini-game for landowners called Axie Raylights. The lightweight game is currently operational on its mainnet, according to the official notice the company sent on its social media accounts.

Raylights works right in a browser, unlike the main Axie Infinity application. Therefore, fans may play its newest game without downloading an app. The platform also provides players with tools to develop distinctive plants using a variety of mineral combinations. A part of the press statement read:

Place minerals of different combinations into soil layers on your plot and pair them with an axie to plant them. Distinct mineral blends will result in new, exciting, beautiful plants.

Additionally, gamers who enjoy Raylights can obtain unique minerals to cultivate strange plants. The game has over 300 unique plants, and plot types have different recipes/codes. Raylights engineers established two competitions to heighten the sense of friendly competition. One would be for achieving world firsts, while the other would let participants showcase their ingenuity in various virtual worlds.

Furthermore, Axie Infinity acknowledged that NFT and Web3 gaming have many territories to conquer to attain their full potential. According to the gaming house, the sector sometimes appears supported simply by marketing hype and fails to live up to lofty ideas.
