  • Bitcoin and XRP face seven U.S. economic releases in a data-heavy week.
  • ISM Manufacturing PMI is expected to ease to 55.3 as prices rise to 72.0.
  • XRP holds $1.30-$1.40 support as Bitcoin eyes $80,000-$82,000 resistance.

Bitcoin and XRP enter a data-heavy week as traders prepare for a series of closely watched U.S. economic releases that could influence expectations for Federal Reserve policy.

The releases arrive as employment data carries greater weight ahead of the next Federal Open Market Committee meeting, while Bitcoin remains below resistance and XRP tests an important support range.

Bitcoin and XRP Face Several Key US Economic Readings

The week starts Monday with the August Chicago PMI, before attention shifts to a crowded Tuesday calendar. The August ISM Manufacturing PMI arrives Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. ET. Analysts expect the index to ease to 55.3 from 55.6 in July, while remaining above the 50 level separating expansion from contraction.

At the same time, the ISM Manufacturing Prices Paid Index is expected to rise to 72.0 from 71.1. The combination will give traders separate readings on factory activity and input-price pressures.

A stronger manufacturing reading alongside higher prices would show continued economic strength and high cost pressures. Conversely, weaker activity or lower prices would provide a different signal ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting.

JOLTS and ADP Put Labor Market in Focus

Tuesday also brings July JOLTS (Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey) job openings, with analysts expecting openings to fall to about 7.273 million from 7.359 million. The job openings-to-unemployed ratio reached its highest level since January 2025 in June. Therefore, another strong reading would show continued labor-market resiliency.

Attention then moves to Wednesday’s August ADP nonfarm employment report, adding another labor-market reading before Thursday’s weekly unemployment claims. Initial jobless claims came in at 203,000, down from 207,000 previously.  Initial jobless claims most recently fell to 203,000 from a projected 207,000, beating the 208,000 forecast.

ISM Services Data Could Drive Thursday Volatility

Thursday’s August ISM Services PMI and Prices report closes the major calendar. Consensus expects the headline PMI near 53.8, compared with 54.1 in July. July’s Services Prices Index reached 70.3, up from 67.7, while the employment component dropped to 47.4. Business activity stood at 59.1, and new orders reached 57.2.

The releases arrive with Bitcoin trading between support around $73,000-$75,000 and resistance near $80,000-$82,000. A move above $82,500 remains the identified technical level for confirming a larger bullish trend shift, while liquidation liquidity sits around $76,400-$76,700.

Meanwhile, XRP is testing the $1.30–$1.40 support zone after rejecting the $1.55–$1.60 resistance area. With labor and price data concentrated this week, those levels leave both Bitcoin and XRP sensitive to macro-driven volatility as each U.S. economic release hits markets.
