  • Bitcoin grabbed the first spot in the Top 10 most google-searched cryptos with  28,410,000 global monthly searches in 2022.
  • Elon Musk’s favorite memecoin, Dogecoin saw 5,850,000 monthly global searches in 2022.

The year 2022 has seen an unprecedented turn of events for the crypto market and as the year comes to an end, we present to you the top 5 most google-searched cryptocurrencies in the world in 2022.

Several cryptocurrencies have stood the test of FTX, Terra Luna collapse and continued to intrigue investors. Bitcoin has remained the top cryptocurrency in Google searches. As per data from dollar geek, Bitcoin saw a search of  4,570,000 every month in the US in 2022.

The most popular coin which is currently trading at 16,833.41, saw 28,410,000 global searches every month.

On the second spot is Elon Musk’s favorite memecoin, Dogecoin (DOGE) that witnessed 5,850,000 monthly global searches in 2022. However, DOGE’s US searches of 729,000 is surpassed by Shiba Inu(SHIB) which has 1,290,000 monthly US searches.

SHIB however, could not catch the runner up position as its global monthly searches is 4,430,000 , which is comparatively lesser than DOGE.

Ethereum (ETH) however, seemed to have gone down to the fourth spot, when it came to ignite investor’s interest, as its US monthly searches amounted to 611,000 and worldwide the coin saw 3,840,000.

Avalanche (AVAX) rounds off the top five with 534,000 US searches and 861,000 monthly global searches.

Litecoin (LTC) with 796,000 global searches grabbed the sixth position. Cardano (ADA) stood on the seventh rank with 1,470,000 searches globally but only 247,000 US searches which is lesser than LTC’s  269,000 US searches.

Ripple’s XRP, SafeMoon and Nexos stood on the eighth, ninth and tenth position respectively.
