The inaugural ETHWomen, in collaboration with CryptoChicks, is a female focused and inclusive hackathon. The goal is to provide a supportive environment for women and the LGBTQ2 community to showcase their talent, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems.

“We are thrilled to support a blockchain hackathon for women, as we believe diversity and inclusivity are critical for driving innovation in the blockchain industry. By supporting and empowering women in blockchain, we hope to create a more diverse and dynamic community that can bring about real-world solutions to complex challenges.” said Elena Sinelnikova, CEO MetisDAO, and CoFounder of CryptoChicks.

Hackathon organizer Tracy Leparulo, the founder of Untraceable Events, organized the original Ethereum hackathon 2014. Other past events include BlockGeeks Hackathon in 2016, and the original ETHWaterloo in 2017.

“Toronto is the birthplace of Ethereum, and, since those early days, we have witnessed this city grow into a vibrant hub for decentralized technology,” said Untraceable Founder & CEO, Tracy.

Leparulo. “We believe that this event will drive innovation and bring about a brighter future for the broader blockchain ecosystem. Empowering women in Web3 is not just a trend, it’s a necessary movement. We hope ETHWomen inspires and motivates the next generation of female leaders in the blockchain industry.
