Crypto.com made an announcement on January 16 that it would be cooperating with Climeworks, a leader in the field of direct air capture carbon dioxide removal technology as the next step in its path toward greater sustainability and carbon management.
According to the statement, this relationship is industry-leading among cryptocurrency platforms. It was prompted by Crypto.com’s commitment to investing in important and innovative technology that can scale and decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment.
Crypto.com claims that it has given a lot of thought to deciding on what kind of removal provider it wants to work with. And, as a result, has come to the conclusion that the most impactful way forward is to remove its direct carbon emissions by utilizing innovative technology such as direct air capture.
