Aave Labs has acquired Avon’s team and technology to expand its lending services and introduce more fixed-rate borrowing options. The deal brings experienced developers and financial market specialists into Aave’s operations.

Consequently, the acquisition could help Aave attract more institutions and fintech companies seeking predictable borrowing costs. The move also strengthens Aave’s position as decentralized finance expands into traditional financial services.

Aave Strengthens Lending Infrastructure With Avon Acquisition

Avon founder Prince Sinha and Ayush Kaul will join Aave Labs’ engineering team. Additionally, Omar el-Ashaal will support business development. Their expertise will help develop Aave’s network and product infrastructure.

The acquisition includes Avon’s fixed-rate and floating-rate lending protocols, onchain order book, domains, and related assets. Moreover, the team will continue developing these technologies within Aave’s ecosystem.

Aave currently holds more than $33 billion in deposits and $13 billion in active loans. Hence, the integration could broaden borrowing options across its growing user base.
