Binance will temporarily pause deposits and withdrawals across its platform on September 22 during a scheduled wallet infrastructure upgrade. The exchange plans to begin the maintenance at 06:00 UTC. Binance expects the upgrade to last about one hour, although services could return sooner if systems stabilize earlier.
Trading will continue normally throughout the maintenance window. Hence, users can still trade their assets while transfers remain temporarily unavailable.
Binance Plans Brief Wallet Maintenance
Binance said the upgrade aims to strengthen its wallet infrastructure and improve the overall service experience. Additionally, deposits and withdrawals will reopen once the exchange confirms system stability. However, Binance will not issue another announcement when transfer services resume.
Users planning transfers around the maintenance window may therefore need to adjust their timing. Consequently, deposits initiated before the pause may require additional time to process.
More Binance Trading Changes Ahead
Besides the wallet upgrade, Binance has announced several changes involving selected trading pairs. The exchange will remove BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC, and QNT/USDC on September 18 at 03:00 UTC.
Binance will also remove five margin pairs later that day. These include ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, GUN/USDC, and VANA/USDC.
Moreover, Binance plans to end all spot trading pairs for Pax Dollar on September 24. Significantly, these changes do not remove the underlying tokens from Binance Spot where other pairs remain available.
