Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest sold shares in a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund, SpaceX and Robinhood on October 9, according to its daily trading disclosures. The firm also reduced positions in Alphabet and DraftKings while buying technology and biotechnology stocks.
ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) sold 350,270 shares of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB), representing 1.07% of its portfolio. ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) sold 22,276 SpaceX shares, while ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) cut its Robinhood holdings by 19,098 shares.
ARK Reduces Bitcoin and Crypto Exposure
The disclosures do not explain the reasons behind the sales or confirm a broader shift in ARK’s cryptocurrency strategy.

The trades came as spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $487 million in net outflows on October 7 and another $244 million on October 8. The funds then recorded approximately $21 million in net inflows on October 9.
ARK Adds Technology and Biotech Stocks
ARKQ bought 12,592 shares of Symbotic and 57,540 shares of Kodiak AI. ARK Genomic Revolution ETF (ARKG) also purchased shares in Nurix Therapeutics, Guardant Health, CRISPR Therapeutics and Intellia.
Meanwhile, ARKK sold shares of AMD, Shopify and Alphabet, while ARK Space Exploration & Innovation ETF (ARKX) reduced its Iridium holdings.
