Hashdex has added Hyperliquid’s HYPE token to its Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF. The move highlights growing institutional interest in crypto networks that support active financial markets.

HYPE now joins Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, Stellar, Cardano, Chainlink, and Bitcoin Cash within the diversified fund. Consequently, investors can gain exposure to Hyperliquid through a rules-based investment product without buying HYPE directly.

HYPE Gains Institutional Exposure

Hashdex said HYPE qualified for inclusion after meeting the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index’s eligibility requirements. Those standards assess factors such as market capitalization, liquidity, custody support, and regulatory considerations. Additionally, the index applies SEC generic listing standards for crypto asset exchange-traded products.

NCIQ began in February 2025 with only two cryptocurrencies. Since then, successive reconstitutions have expanded its holdings as the digital asset market developed. Moreover, HYPE’s addition shows how index providers increasingly recognize established blockchain ecosystems.

Market Reaction Remains Mixed

However, HYPE traded at $82.61 after falling 2.24% over 24 hours. Its weekly performance was slightly positive at 0.50% gains. The token is valued at $18.38 billion and has 220 million HYPE in circulation.
