Ondo has introduced Ondo Network, a private execution layer designed to improve blockchain trading performance. The new infrastructure aims to combine centralized exchange speed with transparent settlement and noncustodial asset ownership. The launch follows Ondo’s efforts to overcome major challenges affecting decentralized trading platforms, including slow execution and privacy limitations.
The network currently supports Ondo Perps, a perpetual futures platform that uses tokenized real-world assets as collateral. Besides faster trading, Ondo Network focuses on maintaining user control while improving verification and security across financial applications.
New Architecture Targets Faster and More Secure Trading
Ondo Network separates transaction execution from blockchain settlement to improve efficiency. Trade matching, margin calculations, and liquidations operate within secure environments protected by specialized hardware. Consequently, applications can process transactions faster without waiting for every action to receive blockchain confirmation.
Additionally, independent attestors verify that the system runs approved software and prevent unauthorized changes. These safeguards help ensure fair trading by reducing risks such as order manipulation or unfair execution.
Moreover, Ondo records important state changes through signed logs. Auditors and counterparties can review these records to confirm that the platform follows approved rules.
Ondo Expands Beyond Traditional Blockchain Design
However, Ondo Network does not currently function as a conventional blockchain. The company plans to increase decentralization through more verification participants, external monitoring systems, and advanced cryptographic tools.
Significantly, Ondo believes the infrastructure could support future markets, including spot trading, lending, structured products, and settlement services.
Meanwhile, ONDO continues to attract market attention. The token trades at $0.4086, with a $1.99 billion market capitalization. The asset has gained 14.64% over the past week.
