Phantom has introduced Kalshi-powered prediction markets for US users, allowing customers to trade contracts tied to real-world events directly through its mobile app. The feature covers sports, politics, economics, and culture, expanding Phantom beyond its traditional crypto wallet services. Users can predict outcomes, monitor positions, and sell contracts before markets settle, provided buyers remain available.
Kalshi Integration Expands Phantom’s Trading Options
The integration connects Phantom users to Kalshi, a US-regulated exchange that manages market listings, trading rules, and outcome settlements. Additionally, users can fund positions with their Cash balance or Solana-based tokens.
However, traders must complete identity verification before accessing the service. Phantom also requires some users to upgrade wallet security. Trades funded through portfolio tokens may incur network costs, while Cash-funded trades avoid gas fees.
Each contract carries a combined $0.02 prediction fee, split equally between Phantom and Kalshi. Consequently, traders should review transaction costs and potential returns before confirming orders.
Liquidity and Settlement Shape Trading Risks
Moreover, users can cash out early when sufficient buyers exist. However, limited liquidity can prevent sales, even when positions show profits.
Kalshi determines final outcomes according to published market rules. Correct predictions generate payouts, while incorrect positions settle at zero. Hence, users risk losing their entire investment.
Phantom routes eligible proceeds back to Cash accounts through Stripe, typically within seconds or minutes. Nevertheless, settlement and transfers may take longer depending on market resolution and processing conditions.
