Securitize, LG CNS Partner to Expand Tokenized Finance in South Korea

Securitize and LG CNS have entered into a strategic partnership to promote the expansion of tokenized assets and digital financial infrastructure in South Korea. The two companies entered into an MOU that merges the tokenization expertise of Securitize with the financial technology prowess and local financial connections of LG CNS. The partnership could thus facilitate the development of regulated products in Korea and deepen ties with foreign capital markets.

Partnership Targets Institutional Tokenization

Importantly, both companies will seek investment activities with financial institutions throughout Korea and the Asia-pacific area. They will be covering tokenized securities, stablecoins and institutional applications.

Additionally, Securitize and LG CNS plan to develop tokenization solutions suited to Korea’s evolving regulatory environment. They will also explore infrastructure for digital asset treasuries and stablecoins.The companies could eventually support round-the-clock distribution, execution, and settlement of tokenized financial products.

Carlos Domingo, Co-Founder and CEO of Securitize, said the partnership combines regulated onchain finance experience with LG CNS’s local expertise. He added that the companies want to bring more high-quality financial products onchain in Korea.

Korea’s Digital Asset Infrastructure Expands

Moreover, the partnership will include product development, technical implementation, market education, and joint commercial initiatives. The companies will also examine institutional tokenized funds where regulations permit.
