Anchorpoint Financial has partnered with the Solana Foundation to expand access to its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, HKDAP. The collaboration aims to introduce faster digital payments and improve settlement for tokenized financial assets.
Additionally, the partnership could strengthen Hong Kong’s position in the growing digital currency market. Anchorpoint plans to extend the stablecoin beyond institutional customers as it prepares for retail adoption.
Solana Partnership Targets Everyday Digital Payments
Under the agreement announced October 30, Anchorpoint plans to enable native HKDAP issuance and redemption on Solana. Consequently, eligible users could access faster transfers without relying on existing distribution channels.
Besides retail payments, both parties will explore opportunities in tokenized real-world assets and financial products. Solana’s growing ecosystem of wallets, applications, and developers could support wider adoption.
The announcement highlighted approximately $4.9 billion in tokenized assets and over 835,000 RWA holders on Solana. These figures demonstrate the network’s expanding role in blockchain-based finance.
Anchorpoint Advances Retail Adoption Plans
Moreover, the partnership follows Anchorpoint’s plans to introduce HKDAP to retail customers through public blockchains. However, the company has not announced a specific launch date.
The initiative could make Hong Kong dollar transactions more accessible across digital financial applications. Significantly, it also creates opportunities for businesses seeking faster settlement alternatives.
