Tether’s USDT0 has launched on the Stellar network, bringing deeper stablecoin liquidity to a blockchain built for payments. The move could strengthen Stellar’s role in cross-border transfers and digital finance.

Moreover, USDT0 connects Stellar users with broader USDT liquidity across supported networks. That access could reduce conversion costs and simplify international settlement for businesses and individuals.

Deeper Liquidity for Stellar

USDT0 uses LayerZero’s interoperability standard to maintain one unified USDT supply. Consequently, users can access liquidity without relying on wrapped tokens or isolated pools.

Additionally, Stellar-based applications can use USDT0 for trading, lending, collateral, and other financial services. SushiSwap already supports the asset, while more integrations could follow.

Significantly, USDT dominates many emerging markets across Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Stellar’s low fees and fast settlement could complement those established payment habits. Hence, the integration may help businesses move stablecoin-based payments more efficiently.

Wider Access for Financial Firms

Exchanges, wallets, fintechs, and payment providers can also benefit from simpler treasury operations. USDT0 supports deposits, transfers, and withdrawals on Stellar’s low-cost network.

Besides, platforms including Kraken, Bitget, Fireblocks, Freighter, and Lobstr support the launch. Consequently, broader access could attract more users and capital to Stellar’s ecosystem. However, future adoption will depend on liquidity growth and additional integrations.
