Strive added more to its Bitcoin treasury than it had ever before, bolstering its standing with big corporate holders. The company acquired 2,000 BTC for about $169 million between September 28 and October 2. This increased its total holdings to 29,462 BTC, bringing it closer to MARA, as corporate Bitcoin accumulation quickly gains momentum.
Strive Pushes Toward MARA
Strive paid an average price of about $84,422 per Bitcoin during its latest buying round. Its holdings now carry a value of roughly $2.55 billion.
Significantly, Strive sits 6,115 BTC behind MARA, which currently controls 35,577 BTC. The company funded much of its latest purchase through preferred-share sales.
Additionally, Strive acquired 8,137 BTC during the third quarter at an average price of $78,885. It also ended September with nearly $285 million in cash and equivalents.
Metaplanet Raises the Treasury Bar
However, competition higher up the corporate Bitcoin rankings intensified. Metaplanet increased its net holdings by 1,000 BTC, reaching 44,000 BTC.
Hence, Metaplanet moved ahead of Twenty One and strengthened its position behind Strategy. Strive now needs another 14,538 BTC to match Metaplanet’s current holdings.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin trades near $85,350 after gaining about 2.3% during the past week. Moreover, Strategy remains the dominant corporate holder with 848,000 BTC.
