It is the third day of the World Economic Forum, and today, the forum will hold a discussion on how Blockchains and Stablecoins successfully provided aid to refugees in Ukraine. The discussion will cover various instances where cryptocurrencies have helped other populations under distress.

As per the statement, well-known Blockchain solution providing firm Stellar will be conducting two sessions today, which would focus on crypto and blockchain technology.

The session titled, Breaking Barriers with Blockchain: How do we drive responsible and sustainable innovation, will be held today 1:30 – 2:30 PM CET. The CEO & Executive Director of Stellar Development Foundation Denelle Dixon, will be among the speakers in this session along with Julien Courbe, Chief Client Officer and Global Advisory Managing Partner, PwC.

This session will have an insightful discussion about commercial advantages and challenges of blockchain technology. The session will address the misjudgments around the environmental, social, and governance implications of the blockchain.

Another session which would have speakers from Stellar is titled ‘Crypto’s Last-Mile Solution, A Discussion and Happy Hour with Circle, Stellar Development Foundation, and UNHCR.’ The moderator for this session would be Teana Baker-Taylor, who is the VP Policy and Regulations of the crypto firm Circle.

The session will have speakers including Denelle Dixon, and Carmen Hett, Treasurer, UNHCR. The session will be held in January 2018 at 5:00 – 7:00 PM CET. NGO leaders and Dixon will discuss how payment through Stablecoins and Corruption-proof blockchain networks are helping to give support and aid to refugees and other populations under duress.

Another session will hold a talk on how Paris is trying to promote better governance, sustainability, responsible growth, and pioneering in  building  stable, and safe digital asset markets. The discussion will feature the French Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, Jean-Noël Barrot.
