  • Developer group Terra Rebels are ending support for the Terra Station.
  • The decision comes after their $15,000-a-month spending proposal was rejected by the community.
  • Crypto YouTuber Clay said the action shows the developer group never believed in the ecosystem.

Clay, the host of the YouTube channel ClayBro, said in a recent update on the Terra Luna community that the Terra Rebels have announced ending support for Terra Station. The developer group said they will expand their services to other ecosystems in the coming weeks.

The recent development comes on the heels of a $15,000 spending proposal put to the Terra Luna community by the group. However, the proposal saw a massive rejection, as many argued that the community pool could not support it.

Following that decision, the Terra Rebels announced that they were diversifying their customer base to include the broader Cosmo ecosystem. As a result, they will be rebranding the Terra Classic station as Galaxy Station.

According to Clay, the transition will gradually happen over the next few weeks. Also, the group will terminate their collaboration with the layer one task force with regard to Terra Classic Station.

As they are no longer in charge, the Terra Rebels will give the Terra Station code to the Layer 1 development team. They, however, clarified that their decision doesn’t mean they are leaving the community. Instead, they are merely expanding their services and wallet to benefit the Cosmos blockchain ecosystem, which includes Terra Luna Classic.

Clay argued that the decision of the Terra Rebels shows that the group never believed in the Terra Luna Classic ecosystem. He said their actions prove they were only after paychecks, which he said was a problem he noted after the community started spending from its pool.

Furthermore, he said Terra Luna Classic community members are upset about the group’s decision. According to Clay, part of the reason is that the Terra Rebels will now use equipment bought for them by the community to offer external services.

Once the transition is complete, the Terra Rebels will no longer maintain the codes or do updates on the Terra Classic Station. The group, however, expressed their willingness to share the codes with whoever takes up the role.
