  • A $91.73M high-leverage short position faces liquidation if DOGE reaches $0.0722, just above the range upper boundary
  • Three RSI bullish divergences have formed since June, with open interest rising 4.49% to $1.17B as positions build ahead of a range break

The Dogecoin price prediction right now hinges on $0.0722, the level where a $91.73 million short position faces liquidation just above the rectangle range that’s held DOGE since late July.

DOGE Price Analysis: Three RSI Divergences and a Bollinger Squeeze

DOGE Price Action Today (Source: TradingView)

The daily chart shows DOGE compressing inside a rectangle between $0.068 and $0.074 that has contained price since late July after the drop from the May highs near $0.12. Today’s session opened at $0.06964, tapped $0.0703, and is holding at $0.07015, sitting mid-range with neither buyers nor sellers in control.

Three RSI bullish divergences have printed since June, each where price made a lower low while RSI made a higher low. The third formed in early August. RSI at 45.50 has been climbing through each divergence even as price stayed flat, building a momentum base that historically precedes recoveries when combined with a range breakout. The Bollinger Band squeeze, with the midline at $0.07207 above and the lower band at $0.06822 below, confirms volatility is compressing heading into the decision.

Will DOGE Go Up Today? Analyst Targets $0.080

Analyst Crypto With Gopal flagged on X that DOGE is printing a rectangle consolidation, with price boxed in between $0.068 and $0.074.

His read is simple: a breakout above $0.074 opens the door toward $0.080, while a breakdown below $0.068 risks further downside. Gopal’s core point is that volatility is compressing right now, and whichever side of the range breaks first will define the next leg.

DOGE Analysis: Why Is a $91.73M DOGE Short at Risk of Liquidation?

Analyst CW flagged on X that a high-leverage short position worth $91.73M faces liquidation if DOGE reaches $0.0722. That level sits just above the rectangle’s upper boundary at $0.074 and the Bollinger Band midline at $0.07207, meaning a clean breakout above the range would trigger the liquidation cascade almost immediately.

When a large short liquidation sits this close to a key technical level, it effectively acts as a magnet for price, since any buying pressure that cracks the upper boundary gets amplified by forced short covering on top of it.

DOGE Derivatives: Open Interest Builds as Options Activity Spikes

DOGE Derivatives Analysis (Source: Coinglass)

Volume fell 14.09% to $591.55M while open interest rose 4.49% to $1.17B, a divergence that points to new positions being added quietly rather than active directional trading. Options volume surged 168.35%, suggesting traders are hedging around the range breakout rather than committing to a direction in spot.

DOGE Price Prediction: Upside and Downside Targets

Bull Case, Target: $0.080 (Post-Breakout)

DOGE breaks above the rectangle upper boundary at $0.074 on a daily close, triggering the $91.73M short liquidation at $0.0722 and creating a forced buying cascade that accelerates the move. The three RSI bullish divergences confirm as momentum follows price above the range, with top trader long positioning getting rewarded and price pushing toward $0.080 as the measured move target.

Bear Case, Risk Level: $0.068 (Rectangle Floor)

The rectangle lower boundary at $0.068 breaks on a daily close and the Bollinger Band lower boundary at $0.06822 fails to hold. The three RSI divergences prove insufficient without a catalyst to trigger the breakout, and long liquidations accelerate as the range resolves to the downside, with price sliding toward the June lows as the next meaningful floor.
