Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, formed a pact with SEE institute, an education for sustainability hub, to launch a specialized training program to support new digital startups.
The program “Future of the Digital Economy: Business in the Metaverse” is a special training designed to provide a head start for digital startups with practical knowledge and essential tools required in the metaverse and Web3.
As per Emirates News Agency (WAM) report, 30 businesses from Dubai and other markets will be invited to partake in the training academy. At the event, participants would be equipped with Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Extended Reality (XR) technologies to dive deep and grasp the underlying forces of business in the metaverse.
Furthermore, the report states that four sessions regarding principles of Web3 – origin, roots, summary – of Web3 business strategies that succeeded and failed will be narrated.
“All participants will go through four sessions covering the core principles of Web3, Web3 businesses that succeeded and failed, the value of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a new way of communicating between brands and customers, and managing expectations of different blockchains.”
Upon the event’s conclusion, free mentorship will be provided to all participants, and access to free sustainable co-working space. Participants will also be able to present their success stories to an audience at the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy’s upcoming events next year.
Referring to the report, the Executive Director of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Khalid Al Jarwan, said:
The training academy aligns with the Chamber’s strategy to support the growth of the digital economy sector, attract high-potential digital companies to Dubai and cement the emirate’s position as a preferred digital economy hub.
Lastly, Al Jarwan expressed that despite the rapid pace at which advanced technologies are revolutionizing the business world, it is crucial to meet the changing needs of the business community in Dubai.
