Today has started the first day of EUROPEAN WEB3 SUMMIT BRUSSELS — the Summit where Web3 meets EU policymakers and Web2 businesses.
Irakli Beridze, who has spearheaded discussions on AI and Web3 noted, “When we first started to discuss AI and Web3 within the UN, there was a lot of negativity: it was always portrayed as a bad thing used in fraud. But the discussion has shifted, as we are witnessing how AI can solve problems and that it can be a positive force, combating abuse of children on the internet or fostering educational processes.”
The opening panel was devoted to Policies & Strategies for Web3 Transformation in Europe with participation of:

Moderator of the panel was Alex Cohen, a Managing Editor at Cointelegraph.
“Web3 is a new face of the internet that promotes and deploys a new type of architecture that enables community ownership and more direct control of users over the economy of the internet. This was not possible before. Web3 can actually enable the portability of a user’s social graph, assets, gaming activities, online behaviors, etc. It basically enables the integration of a person’s lifestyle into new tech,” — stated Ioana Surpateanu during the first panel discussion of the conference.
The EW3S is a meta-platform coordinated by blockchain-related NGOs to facilitate open dialogue between Web3 and policymakers in Europe to help innovations flourish. The organizers are the Institute for Global Transformation and the Institute of Cognitive Modeling in Brussels, Belgium, in partnership with Blockchain for Europe.
