‘I Don’t Even Know How To Code,’ SBF Declares in Latest Interview
  • Youtuber Coffeezilla, in his recent video, analyzes Sam Bankman-Fried’s latest interview.
  • “Sam lies a lot,” says the analyst, questioning most of the former CEO’s claims.
  • The interview was taken by citizen journalist Tiffany Fong.

In a video released earlier today, crypto analyst Stephen Findeisen scrutinizes some of the details mentioned in citizen journalist Tiffany Fong’s recent interview with the infamous Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF). Fong will be releasing the entire call on her own Youtube channel soon.

Findeisen begins his video by asking viewers to take everything in the interview with a grain of salt as “Sam lies a lot.”

The first topic of analysis is Bankman-Fried’s donations to political parties. The former FTX CEO is apparently the second-largest donor to the Democrats in the 2022 mid-term elections. There are also speculations that he heavily funded media outlets, which resulted in favorable coverage. However, in Tiffany’s interview, Bankman states that he gave both parties the same amount, but his Republican donations were “in the dark.” The reason he gives is that reporters and media generally are liberal and would not support him if they knew of his association with the Republican party.

When Fong asks about the backdoor in FTX which was used to defraud customers, referred to in a Reuters report, the former CEO says:

“I don’t even know how to code.”

Bankman-Fried continues to argue that he didn’t build the software, and though he knew the system well from a user interface perspective, he never opened the codebase. To this response, Findeisen says that he was evading the question on a technicality.

In the interview, Bankman-Fried continues to maintain that he was merely wrong about Alameda’s balances on FTX, and that it was an accounting “fxxx up”. “This is the image Sam wants to sell you,” says Findeisen, “One where he didn’t steal your money, just fell prey to a mistake… It’s a dog ate my homework excuse.” Findeisen also goes on to question other claims Bankman makes in the audio interview.

Stephen Findeisen, also known as Coffeezilla, is a YouTube crypto crusader. With over 1 million followers, Findeisen is the one-man force behind taking down high-reach frauds such as the SafeMoon project. Tiffany Fong is Youtuber and citizen journalist popular for releasing leaked information about Celsius during its collapse.
