Larry Fink Turns Bullish as Ripple Plans XRP Ledger’s Future
  • Fink expects technology-led productivity gains to support stronger markets over 12 months.
  • Tokenized real-world assets reach $51 billion as private credit leads market expansion.
  • RippleX is building tokenization, stablecoin, and trading tools for institutional finance.

Larry Fink’s bullish market outlook arrives as blockchain infrastructure gains a role in institutional finance. The BlackRock chief expects technology-driven productivity to strengthen margins during the next 12 months.

That confidence now overlaps with RippleX’s effort to make the XRP Ledger more useful for financial institutions. Meanwhile, tokenized real-world assets have reached $51 billion, showing how quickly on-chain finance is expanding.

Why Fink Sees a Stronger Market Foundation

During an interview, Fink said technology could help companies reduce costs, improve productivity, and deliver stronger profits. He described that technological shift as the main force supporting his positive market view.

Fink also compared present financial conditions with the environment before the 2008 and 2009 crisis. He said leverage remains lower relative to today’s larger capital markets. However, he acknowledged that concentrated risks still exist in specific assets, products, and international markets.

Fink applied the same framework to Bitcoin and the wider cryptocurrency market. He said earlier cycles contained too many leveraged participants and excessive borrowing.

Repeated liquidations later forced exchanges to close overextended positions during sharp declines and macroeconomic shocks. Futures open interest also fell as institutions adjusted their strategies.

In addition, more participants moved from highly leveraged perpetual contracts toward options offering better downside protection. Those changes reduced risk and supported a steadier market structure.

Fink said this washout created greater stability at current levels. Still, he did not suggest that volatility or leverage had completely disappeared.

RippleX Targets Institutional Finance as RWA Value Hits $51B

As broader markets become more stable, RippleX is developing the next phase of the XRP Ledger around institutional use, according to engineering head Ayo Akinyele. The team is prioritizing tokenization, stablecoin payments, ledger-based trading, and on-chain financial markets.

Akinyele said financial institutions often prefer infrastructure that resembles their existing operating models. RippleX therefore aims to rebuild familiar financial processes on blockchain rails.

That approach focuses on practical adoption rather than forcing institutions to replace every system. At the same time, its decentralized infrastructure is designed to improve reliability, security, accuracy, and operational efficiency across financial services.

RippleX’s strategy also aligns with the rapid growth of tokenized real-world assets. Bernstein Research valued the RWA market at $51 billion, marking a 42% increase this year.

Within that total, private credit accounted for approximately 44%, making it the market’s largest segment. This expansion reflects the increasing use of blockchain infrastructure in lending products and tokenized fund structures.

However, Bernstein’s valuation remains higher than RWA.xyz’s $34 billion estimate. The difference primarily reflects how individual analytics providers classify and measure tokenized assets.

Institutional participation is also becoming more visible through products such as BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized money market fund. According to Bernstein, the fund has already surpassed $2.5 billion in assets.

BUIDL’s growth links Fink’s technology-focused market outlook with blockchain’s expanding role in financial infrastructure. Meanwhile, RippleX’s roadmap shows how the XRP Ledger could support that transition through institution-focused payment, tokenization, and market tools.

Together, these developments highlight a broader movement toward technology-driven markets, reduced leverage, and blockchain infrastructure designed for institutional use.
