Metaverse Project Proposes On-chain Reputation Scores for NFT Projects
  • Degentraland tweeted about the necessity of developing on-chain reputation scores for NFTs.
  • The platform referred to BAYC and Azuki, commenting that membership in these communities means much.
  • A subsequent tweet included the need for the scrutiny of voting infrastructure.

The metaverse platform Degentraland shared a Twitter thread on March 23, commenting on the necessity and immediacy of developing on-chain reputation scores for NFT projects.

Notably, the platform tweeted that the significance of the reputation scores would grow further:

Further, Degnetraland referred to the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), the unique collection of 10000 Bored Ape NFTs, and Azuki, a brand for metaverse, with a specific collection of NFTs, commenting that membership in both the communities means too much.

The platform quoted:

Being a highly valued member in the BoredApeYC or Azuki communities matters more than having a Stanford MBA in many contexts.

Responding to Degentraland, a “degen” and Web3 aspirant Fetty, mentioned Azuki’s “hilumia,” commenting that it is where the “valuable community are formally recognized for their specific contributions as well as the badge system for specific achievements”.

Previously, in January 2023, Azuki announced the launch of hilumia, “the Garden’s crossroads” — a developing metropolis molded and constructed by the people.

Interestingly, Azuki asserted that the new development would help expand the virtual space among the community, commenting, “Hilumia is an interactive virtual city that is shaped by the community and will expand over time.”

In a subsequent tweet, Degentraland reiterated that the platform would oversee a community-decided ranking, adding:

I would look for a community-decided ranking of top members, with the voting infrastructure developed by the underlying project. Difficult to design. And [it’s] tough to know what to value.

It is noteworthy that a major percentage of the Twitter community has been curious to know more about the program. Many comments were rooted in their enthusiasm for following the system of evaluating NFTs based on reputation scores.
