  • Nike’s NFT-based project has made over $185 million in revenue this year.
  • With this, Nike positioned itself as the brand with the highest earnings in NFTs in 2022 to date.
  • The total transactions recorded for RTKFT are 67,251 so far.

Nike’s NFT-based project, RTKFT, has made over $185 million in revenue this year, according to data shared by crypto analytics firm Dune Analytics. Nike has thus secured its position as the brand with the highest earnings among NFTs in 2022.

The statistics from the in-depth report released by Dune show that Nike has a clear lead in the market with a staggering $185,269,665.73 in revenue, followed far behind by Dolce & Gabbana with only $25,651,129 in revenue.

Tiffany, Gucci, and Adidas secured their positions in the third, fourth, and fifth spots on the chart with $12 million, $11 million, and $10 million, respectively. Since its release, Nike’s RTKFTs have made several headlines.

The most recent news was the release earlier this month of a hoodie with an NFC chip that allows buyers to connect it to a digital version of the garment in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT) that can be “worn” by digital avatars in RTKFT’s Clone X avatar ecosystem.

Over 9,000 of these NFTs have been sold on the NFT Marketplace, OpenSea, with some ranging between $4,000 and $9,000 per pair, while some have even been sold for more than $100,000.

Based on Dune’s data, the highest revenue generating RTKFT NFTs were by CLONEX, MNLTH, and Mint Vial. The total transactions recorded for RTKFT are 67,251 so far.

In 2021, RTFKT was one of the most renowned digital sneaker companies. Then, on December of the same year, Nike made headlines in the NFT world when it bought the company. Though this initially caused backlash from NFT social media communities, it also spiked interested in digital assets. Moreover, one day after Nike’s purchase, searches for Nike NFTs surged 1329%.
