No More LUNC Tokens Would Be Minted, Tweets Tobias Anderson
  • Tobias Anderson tweeted that no more LUNC tokens would be minted.
  • The statement was a response to Alex Forshaw’s proposal to mint 500 LUNC.
  • Anderson stated that he would not change his stance but would stay away from the project if the community finds another developer.

Tobias Andersen, better known as Zaradar, a core developer of Terra Classic blockchain tweeted that no one would be minting “additional LUNC tokens” as long as he is in charge of the project.

Zaradar stated that the USTC could be fixed without minting LUNC, as a response to the proposal put forward by Alex Forshaw, a member of the Terra Classic developers’ group, the Terra Rebels, to mint 500 billion LUNC as part of a plan to restructure and re-peg UST.

On October 3, Alex Forshaw tweeted a re-peg proposal to restructure Terra Classic UST by creating an “Algorithmic Fungible Token (AFT)”:

Consequently, many tweeters came up with concerns about Zaradar’s comments that indicated an idea of centralization. In response, Zaradar clarified that certain censorships are mandatory as there are only two core developers for the project.

Though he put forward the clarifications, the public wasn’t satisfied and more questions were put forward. One of the tweeters enquired about his stance if the network votes for the proposal remain high, and he replied that he wouldn’t change his opinion.

He added in his tweet that he couldn’t implement such a proposal but would stay away from the path if the community is able to find some other suitable developers.

Zaradar’s firm stance made his followers admire him and they highlighted the need for finding the fund for the project and attracting developers.
