- Jensen Huang said the chip stock selloff offers investors a chance to buy shares at lower prices.
- Huang maintained AI infrastructure remains in its early stages despite recent market volatility.
- Nvidia and SK Hynix signed a multi-year deal to develop future AI memory chip technologies.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang dismissed concerns surrounding the recent decline in global technology and semiconductor stocks, describing the market pullback as an opportunity for investors rather than a sign of weakening demand. Speaking in Seoul on Monday, Huang said the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure remains in its early stages and suggested that lower stock prices could be viewed positively by market participants.
His comments, according to a Bloomberg report, came as technology shares faced renewed pressure across global markets. South Korea’s benchmark Kospi Index fell on June 8 as investors reduced exposure to artificial intelligence-related stocks that had helped drive gains in global equities over the past year.
The broader selloff followed losses among U.S. technology companies on Friday despite concerns about a possible interest rate increase and growing questions about whether the AI-driven rally had become overheated.
Huang Sees AI Buildout in Early Stages
Addressing reporters after a meeting with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Huang said recent market volatility does not change the long-term development of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
“We’re at the beginning of it,” Huang said, referring to the construction of the computing systems and technologies needed to support future AI applications.
He added that investors should not be discouraged by the market decline, stating that lower valuations provide an opportunity to purchase shares at reduced prices. Huang remarked that everybody should be very excited because stocks are now available at a discount.

The Nvidia chief has repeatedly argued that artificial intelligence will require huge computing resources and infrastructure. During his remarks in Seoul, he reiterated that AI is expected to become a foundational technology similar to the internet, supporting a wide range of future services and applications.
Nvidia Expands Cooperation With SK Hynix
The comments coincided with a new agreement between Nvidia and South Korean memory chip manufacturer SK Hynix. The companies announced a multi-year partnership focused on designing future generations of memory chips tailored for artificial intelligence workloads.
The agreement serves as a positive development for SK Hynix as competition continues within the high-performance memory market. The company has been competing with Samsung Electronics for a larger share of the growing demand tied to AI-related semiconductor technologies.
