Robinhood New Crypto Listings: AAVE and Tezos (XTZ) Joins List
  • Robinhood adds AAVE and Tezos (XTZ) to its platform.
  • AAVE and Tezos join the list along with 10 other news-listed cryptos.
  • Robinhood recently rolled out its web3 wallet beta.

Robinhood is an American stock trading platform that was introduced in 2015. It has added AAVE and Tezos (XTZ) to its latest list of new crypto listings. The new cryptos join the list as two of the 12 new crypto listings by the platform.

Some other recent listings include USDC, Cardano, Avalanche, Stellar Lumens, Uniswap, Chainlink, Compound, Solana, Shiba Inu, and Polygon, as mentioned in its recent newly listed crypto announcement.

Robinhood, which was earlier a stock-centric trading platform, recently dived into the crypto realm. The platform is now providing the buying, selling, and trading of 12 cryptocurrencies along with other stocks.

Crypto enthusiasts have been requesting Robinhood to list crypto and they have finally heard the masses. The team had earlier mentioned in a statement that the customers were asking for a broader selection of cryptos. The team also added that they are excited about making it the best platform for users to trade crypto.

In May, Robinhood announced its plans to develop a non-custodian wallet. The wallet was rumored to have access to DeFi protocols, an NFT market, and asset trading and swapping features. The team also added that no network fees will be required to access any of these functions.

According to the announcement, the beta version of its DeFi wallet was set to be released by the end of the year. The beta version of Robinhood’s web3 wallet is now available as it went live on September 27.

In addition, the company announced its first support for the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain. The self-custody web3 wallet beta is now available to 10,000 iOS customers who signed up for the waitlist in May.

Furthermore, the standalone application, dubbed Robinhood Wallet, will give users entire sovereignty over their cryptocurrencies, allowing network-free cryptocurrency trading and swapping, and providing rapid access to the decentralized web.
