Shibarium Devs Are Working With Powerful Frens to Resolve Glitch
  • The Shibarium development team updated the community on the recent glitch.
  • According to the Shib team, the newly launched network experienced unexpected traffic.
  • The project is embarking on scaling operations to support a massive influx of Shibarium users.

The Shibarium development team announced that they are working with some “powerful frens” to resolve the recent issue on the newly launched network. The team released an update informing the Shiba Inu community of the state of the glitch encountered at launch. The team used a blog post to tell users that the issue resulted from unprecedented traffic because of the project’s popularity.

According to the Shib team, the newly launched network experienced unexpected traffic. As a result, the project is embarking on scaling operations to support the massive influx of Shibarium users.

While explaining the incident, Kaal Dhairya, a member of the Shib team, informed the community that Shibarium received millions of “compute units” of traffic within moments. According to Dhairya, a careful investigation revealed several thousands of contract creations and normal transactions in the block. That prompted the Shibarium network to switch into fail-safe mode and stopped, to ensure funds are SAFU, an acronym for Secure Asset Funds for Users.

Dhairya noted the team sought help from some “powerful frens” working with Shibarium devs and the Unification team to scale the blockchain. According to him, the group has identified multiple plans of action, despite still being in the early stages of the process.

The Shib team member debunked a “fake screenshot” that circulated across the media, blaming it for the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) generated around the SHIB ecosystem. He promised to call upon Twitter management to help identify the culprits behind the screenshot so they can be brought to justice.

Dhairya encouraged Shib community members to ignore non-official sources and assume only information from the project’s official outlets was to be true. He emphasized that the funds “paused” on the bridge are SAFU and the project has “insured” the entire amount of $2 million in case there is any issue after restarting Shibarium.
