  • TRUMP trades at $2.81, consolidating in a narrowing triangle after an 80% spike and 33% reversal this month.
  • Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Tahnoon backs a 49% stake in World Liberty’s new bank, per WSJ.
  • Senators Warren and Blumenthal want the SEC to probe TRUMP as a possible “rug pull.”

TRUMP enters September inside a tightening triangle after one of its wildest weeks yet, an 80% spike followed almost immediately by a 33% reversal tied to insider wallet transfers. That volatility sits against growing political heat, both on the token and on the wider Trump family crypto business.

TRUMP Price Analysis: Will TRUMP Break Out of Its Triangle?

TRUMP has spent two weeks compressing inside a symmetric triangle: resistance sloping down from the $3.70 spike high on August 22, support sloping up from the $1.60 base on August 19. Price sits at $2.8132, right at the triangle’s upper edge.

The 20-period EMA at $2.4724 and 50-period at $2.2652 sit below price and are curling up, still catching up to this month’s sharp rally. RSI reads 69.41, just under overbought after touching 80 twice during the wild swings around August 20 and 22.

The triangle’s apex lands in early September, so a breakout or breakdown is likely within the first half of the month. A close above $2.90-$3 confirms a breakout. A break below $2.40 opens the door back to the EMA cluster.

TRUMP News: Sheikh Tahnoon Backs 49% Stake in World Liberty’s New Bank

The Wall Street Journal reported Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan, the UAE’s national security adviser, backs the largest stake (49%) in World Liberty Financial’s new bank, which received preliminary OCC approval to manage USD1, World Liberty’s $4 billion stablecoin.

Tahnoon previously invested $500 million in World Liberty in January 2025, days before Trump’s inauguration, a deal that steered $263 million to Trump family entities. An entity affiliated with the Trump family holds 38% of the new bank. Regulators required an unusual passivity agreement from Tahnoon’s shareholding entity, only the second such requirement since Trump returned to office.

Ethics experts flagged the timing, since this expanded business tie runs alongside the administration’s separate approval of AI chip exports benefiting Tahnoon’s firm G42. The White House denied any conflict of interest.

TRUMP News: Senators Push SEC to Investigate Possible “Rug Pull”

Senators Warren and Blumenthal formally asked the SEC to investigate whether TRUMP is an illegal scam, citing reports that investors lost a combined $3.8 billion while Trump-linked wallets gained roughly $636 million.

SEC guidance from February 2025 generally exempts memecoins from securities law, though not projects using that label to dodge regulation. However, the SEC has not responded publicly.

TRUMP News: Insider Wallets Keep Pulling Liquidity

Wallets linked to the TRUMP project pulled USDC from liquidity pools again on August 24, extending a pattern tracked since April 2025.

That, plus the earlier $6.2 million transfer to OKX that triggered this month’s 33% pullback, keeps insider-selling concerns a recurring theme rather than a one-off event.

TRUMP Price Prediction: Upside and Downside Targets for September

Bullish Case, Target: $3.69

TRUMP holds triangle support near $2.40-$2.47 and breaks above $2.90-$3 resistance on a daily close. Continued attention on World Liberty’s bank approval, or a favorable SEC outcome, could fuel renewed buying toward the August spike high.

Bearish Case, Risk Level: $2.02

TRUMP fails at triangle resistance and breaks the ascending support instead, repeating August’s spike-and-reversal pattern. Continued insider withdrawals and any formal SEC action could push price toward the 100-period EMA at $2.02, with the 200-period EMA at $1.82 next below.
