Canada-based SaaS provider, TruTrace Technologies, has entered into a strategic integration partnership with VeChain, the industry-leading enterprise-grade layer 1 blockchain technology. The two organizations will work together to improve the supply-chain sector using blockchain technology.

On Monday, a statement was posted on VeChain’s website announcing the collaboration. It follows a slew of recent partnerships that the blockchain service provider has authorized since the summer.

VeChain has integrated its technology with TruTrace’s blockchain-based SaaS platform. This will reportedly hasten blockchain adoption for authentication and provenance in the legal cannabis, food, fashion, and pharmaceutical industries.

TruTrace’s integration with VeChain ToolChain can provide businesses with a simple, fast way to start using blockchain in their operations without having to make costly expenditures on the network infrastructure or handle cryptocurrencies.

Additionally, the collaboration will also ensure added assurance that it safeguards against counterfeit and tainted goods in the aforementioned supply chain industry. As a result of this partnership, the TruTrace platform will be upgraded to support VeChain (VET) from September 1.

Robert Galarza, CEO of TruTrace, commented on the partnership, stating:

Although our confidence in the power of blockchain to support this mission never wavered, there were difficulties using this technology without onerous gas fees or being limited to permission-based systems. Fortunately, this all changed with the adoption of VeChainThor, which is a true enterprise-grade blockchain that understands how to bring value to clients at a reasonable cost with the ability to scale at a global level.

Meanwhile, Jason Rockwood, General Manager for VeChain US Inc., noted that he believes the partnership “will bring VeChain’s technology to a wider portfolio of consumer brands.”

Using a blockchain-based security system, TruTrace Technologies’ integrated software allows customers to record and track quality control and testing data, certificates of analysis (COAs), and inventory motion and movement intelligence in real time.
